Oelhaf House is a shelter for women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence. It is located in Leonia. Oelhaf House is one of five transitional housing programs in Bergen County operated by The Center for Hope and Safety, a non-profit organization that helps women leave emergency shelter and live with their children as they rebuild their lives. Residents participate in supportive programming that helps build self-sufficiency through job training, counseling services, legal advocacy, and financial stability. The programming for residents of Oelhaf House is paid for through The Center for Hope and Safety.
